There were very few Bristol SUS4As built. The idea of a vehicle limited to only 30 seats seemed somewhat quaint - until the advent of the NBC (National Bus Company) Market Analysis Project (MAP). By then the SU was no more than an ageing member of a handful of fleets.
The nine at Bristol Omnibus proved to be one of the biggest SUS4A fleets.
